Big Data architecture

Job Description

• Develop Big Data architecture solution concepts and presentations for clients
• Serve in client-facing role designing and provide experienced technical consulting and delivers solutions within teams
• Represent the knowledge of Big Data technologies, Big Data platforms and advanced Big Data analytics for DXC clients
• Definition, modifications and optimization of Big Data Infrastructure, software,performance or technologies
• Support in change and escalation management through provisioning of Big Data architecture solutions
• Design and develop prototypes & proof-of-concept solutions in support of presales activities as well as support the development of Big Data & Analytic offerings across multiple industries
• Collaborate and coordinate with other delivery units and takes responsibility for the delivery of DXC Analytics solution (e.g. near-/offshore, external service providers)
• Is recognized by peers as a Subject Matter Expert and experienced Senior Solution Architect in the Big Data and Analytics space
• Own and manage knowledge sharing within a community
• Mentoring for project team members for technological guidance and career development Education and Experience:
• Bachelor or Master degree required in informatics, business informatics, business administration or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 5 years IT, minimum 2 years lead architecture
• Proven experiences in leading Big Data and Analytics Projects as Solution Architect

Knowledge and Skills:

• Experiences with all phases of a Big Data project: Concept & Design, Development,Implementation/Deployment, Change, Maintenance
• Know-how in Big Data platforms and solutions as well as BI/DWH methodologies
• Proven experiences in Hadoop distributions and innovative technologies on Hadoop ecosystems (e.g. Spark, Hive, HBase)
• Expert use of NoSQL databases and experience with relational/non-relational database
• Proposal process know how, Pre-Sales expertise
• Ability to coordinate and support projects efficiently and able to meet deadlines
• Proven communication and presentation skills; fluent in German and English
• Possesses an understanding of architectural dependencies of technologies in customer'sanalytic environments
• Able to communicate internal and external confidently
• Ability to adapt a consulting style appropriate to the situation
• Has demonstrated ability to support others in the gathering of requirements, designs,plans and estimates
• Highly motivated team player
• Project Management with client facing experiences desired (planning, moderation,documentation)

Special Technology Skills:

• Training Platform: At least 1 year of experience in network design and 3 years expertise in Linux, 3 years proven expertise in Hadoop Resource Management und Job Scheduling (Mesos/Yarn) as well as Kubernetes, Deep Learning Frameworks (Caffe), Jenkins,docker containerization, Tensorflow and Kubernetes, experience in AWS appreciated
• Core Platform: 1 year of experience with distributed storage and processing on bare metal;1 year experience in Zypper, automation & provisioning (Ansible) und Docker containerization required; 1 expertise in networking and network authentication such asNFS and Kerberos as well as MapR Tickets, Oozie, Posix and AD/LDAP desired
• Ingestor: Proven programming expertise in software development projects with programming langues in Python (5 years), PySpark (1 year) required, experience in Ansible desired.
